PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

3 1/3 CUPS PEANUT BUTTER
2 1/2 CUPS BROWN SUGAR
2 2/3 CUPS SHORTENING
3 CUPS WHITE SUGAR
6 EGGS
4 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
3/4 TEASPOON SALT
1 TABLESPOON VANILLA FLAVORING
3/4 TEASPOON BAKING SODA

CREAM THE SUGARS, PEANUT BUTTER, AND SHORTENING ALL TOGETHER. ADD WELL
BEATEN EGGS AND VANILLA FLAVORING. ADD DRY INGREDIENTS SIFTED TOGETHER. ROLL MIXTURE IN BALLS AND PLACE ON GREASED SHEETS. FLATTEN WITH FORK DIPPED IN GRANULATED SUGAR. BAKE IN PREHEATED OVEN AT 375 DEGREES FOR 8 OR 9 MINUTES.
(THIS IS A LARGE RECIPE, BUT IT CAN BE ADJUSTED TO SUIT YOUR NEEDS. EXTRA PREPARED MIXTURE CAN BE FROZEN IF DESIRED).
